Shelter for Shelter raises $50,000 for Montgomery County Youth Services

Richmond Realty RE/MAX The Woodlands and Spring hosted the "Shelter for Shelter" event on the evening of Thursday, May 18th at Mercedes-Benz of The Woodlands to benefit Montgomery County Youth Services (MCYS).

Community leaders, local businesses and restaurants gathered together to enjoy a fun evening of fine foods, beverages, live music by the J-Walkers, and a ribbon cutting to celebrate the Grand Opening of Richmond Realty RE/MAX The Woodlands and Spring.

Richmond Realty RE/MAX The Woodlands and Spring followed through on their promise to match every dollar raised up to $25,000 from the event, presenting a $50,000 check to MCYS at the end of the evening.

All proceeds from ticket sales, supporting sponsors, and donations made online benefitted MCYS., which provides crisis counseling, shelter programs and prevention services to strengthen families, keep youth in school and prepare them to be productive citizens in Montgomery County. Donations to MCYS can still be made online at bit.ly/ShelterforShelterTickets
