Home Staged = Home Sold!
Home Staged = Home Sold!
Meet Heather Gable … the Richmond Realty Group’s exclusive certified professional home stager. Setting the stage for presenting your home in the very best light for a potential buyer is not only strategic, it’s actually complimentary for our clients at Richmond Realty.
We are so proud to have Heather as a part of our team. As a licensed real estate agent, she is extremely passionate and skilled in the area of creative staging and décor.
“Deciding to sell your home can be exciting, yet at the same time it can feel overwhelming,” explains Heather. “Where to start … what to tackle … and so much ‘stuff’ can make a homeowner’s head spin. But be assured that professional help is available to make the process as simple and effortless as possible.”
While Heather has many tips and tricks in her toolbox, the #1 top piece of advice always resonates: the theory of de-personalization.
“De-personalization involves removing items and themes from your home that are unique to you. The goal is to make a potential buyer feel not only welcome stepping into your house, but to also envision easily incorporating their own individual style into it,” she notes.
This involves:
- Removing personal photos of family, friends, vacations, etc.
- Decluttering and organizing.
- Taking out whatever you can part with and moving it to storage.
- Savvy re-positioning of existing furniture and accessories.
- Painting walls with a universally-appealing neutral color.
“Simply put, less is more; especially in small spaces. So, if it doesn’t add to the décor, then hide it away.”
And as a nod to security, Heather recommends hiding items and valuables that sticky fingers may fine attractive, such as pharmaceuticals, electronics, jewelry, and irreplaceable keepsakes.
We are so blessed to have Heather Gable on our team, and you’ll be glad to have her on yours with Richmond Realty. The service and the relationship don’t stop after the home staging. When you buy your next home, Heather is always available for advice about how to decorate your new space.
